About Us

Wholeness Through Christ (WTC) is a scripturally-based, Spirit-led ministry to the whole person. We are a non-profit, interdenominational ministry to the church at large.

A SERVANT MINISTRY

The lay and ordained team members who minister come from a variety of church denominations and fellowships. Team members have experienced a growing wholeness through the ministry which has enabled spiritual growth and development in their own lives. Team members volunteer their time and giftings to the ministry and are not professional counselors.

A PRAYER MINISTRY

As WTC is a prayer ministry dependent on the Holy Spirit, intercessory prayer is foundational. Intercessors support the ministry on an ongoing basis, and they specifically pray during WTC events for each participant. Intercessory prayer is an integral part of this ministry and all are invited to share in this essential role. For further information on becoming an intercessor, contact our Intercessor Coordinator at intercessors@wholenessthroughchrist.com.

Our History

The Lord has raised up many ministries that release people into a deeper relationship with Him.  Like these, Wholeness Through Christ Canada/USA (WTC) is a ministry to the whole person, but its uniqueness lies in the simplicity of looking into four specific areas of brokenness (wounds, bondages, sin, and enemy strongholds) surrounded by the love of God.

Throughout history, God has called people to be His disciples and follow Him.  Jesus became their model and He ministered to their brokenness, growing them into the wholeness of Christ.  In the 1960s, God revealed to Anne S. White a simple method of how modern-day disciples could receive ministry into their brokenness using the concept of the four quadrants.  Victorious Ministries Through Christ (VMTC) was formed, an organization which continues today.

Since the 1980s other ministries using the same principles have evolved from this original vision. WTC Canada/USA is one of these.  In 1991 Wholeness Through Christ Canada Society was incorporated and registered as a charity in Canada.  A similar process was completed in the USA in 2006.

WTC is not affiliated with any particular denomination or other organization.  It is run by a volunteer Board of Directors.  Part-time administrative staff members are the only remunerated positions at this point.  Lay and ordained people who minister in WTC volunteer their time and giftings.  The ministry also consists of a network of volunteer intercessors.

Opportunities have developed for WTC Canada/USA to partner with other organizations in ministry around the world.

What We Do

As Jesus came to bring healing, forgiveness, freedom, and release, WTC gently ministers these elements of God’s love to believers who earnestly desire to be free from all that hinders them. We do this by praying into four areas of brokenness – wounds, sins, bondages, and enemy strongholds. Each of these areas is also considered in light of generational influences.

When we are filled and rooted in God's love, our lives are transformed and He brings to us:
     -  Grace and healing
     -  Forgiveness and redemption
     -  Truth and freedom
     -  Light, life, and release

WTC Canada/USA holds various events throughout the year (see below).  Additionally, ministry events can be tailored to meet the needs of a local congregation or group. See further information below under Retreats and Workshops.

OUR TEACHING

Psalm 103:1-5 is a foundational verse for Wholeness Through Christ. We recognize that we are surrounded by God's love and are redeemed, forgiven, healed, loved, satisfied, crowned, and restored.

The Lord ministers His love into our areas of brokenness:

Wounds are healed.  Wounds cause emotional, spiritual, and physical damage.  The resulting pain in our lives needs the Lord's healing touch.

Sins are forgiven.  Our sin patterns are sometimes so deeply-seated that only the loving help of the Holy Spirit can reveal the source and reason for their existence in our lives.  As we receive Gods forgiveness and release from these patterns, we are freed to walk in life-giving ways.

Bondages are broken.  We can live in crippling bondage due to distorted beliefs, perceptions, and attitudes we hold to.  The Lord offers us His truth about Himself, ourselves, others, and situations which then ushers in freedom and life.

Enemy strongholds are destroyed.  Our unhealed wounds, unforgiven sins, and unbroken bondages lead to ungodly strongholds in our lives.  As the Lord ministers to these areas in our lives, we are freed to live in the good and godly strong-hold of God Himself.

Generational influences are restored.  The ways in which we have been raised and our generational backgrounds can influence the way we live and perceive life.  Generational influences can include (but are not limited to) our immediate family history, ethnic backgrounds, national roots, denomination heritage, socio-economic circumstances, etc.  As the Lord reveals unhealthy patterns coming from our backgrounds, we bring these to Him in the four areas of brokenness for His healing and restoration so that the godly influences He originally intended for us may be fully restored.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Cross and Clouds

As a ministry, we proclaim the following statement of faith known as The Apostles’ Creed:

We believe in God, the Father Almighty,
  Creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
  who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
  born of the Virgin Mary,
  suffered under Pontius Pilate,
  was crucified, died, and was buried;
  He descended into hell.
  On the third day He rose again from the dead;
  He ascended into heaven,
  and is seated at the right hand of the Father;
  from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
  the holy Christian Church,
  the communion of saints,
  the forgiveness of sins,
  the resurrection of the body,
  and the life everlasting. Amen.
